Materials for Production

Primet is a custom powder manufacturer specializing in improving the competiveness of our customers.

If the material you need is not available from traditional suppliers, we probably can produce it for you.  We are comfortable working with difficult specifications with stringent price points.  Many of our customers rely on us to help them determine the best material solution to meet their various needs.

Materials by Application

Primet understands how the need for new materials with new properties affects your delivery of innovative product solutions or reductions in manufacturing costs.

We help our customers accelerate product development cycles to shorten time to market by working with them to address the uncertainty in their innovation process.

Research Materials

Primet is also equipped to help the scientist explore the special capabilities of new materials.

We often help scientists identify technical breakthroughs in material characteristics and performance attributes by producing exacting iterations of incremental changes in particle chemistry or physical characteristics.  Our process control allows us to create minute variations of particles in terms of composition, size, morphology, exposed crystallographic planes and other particulate features – helping to support your discoveries.

Technical Note 1 - Hydrophobicity Characterization of Silane-Treated Titania
Samples of six different lots of high purity rutile titania produced by Primet’s Nano-Scission™ process were treated with an alkoxysilane and characterized with respect to hydrophobicity. Prior to silane treatment, the BET specific surface area of these materials ranged from 62 to 116 m2/g and the equivalent spherical diameter (ESD) from 22.7 to 12.1 nm.
Technical Note 2 - Photostability of Primet Titanias
This note presents the results of three different Primet titanias. Results are summarized in Table 1.
